ZAP2IT

ZAP2ITOne of this generations most favorite children's songs is "The Wheels on the Bus" and this video gives it it's proper due. Not only do all sorts of imaginary crazy creatures gather together to get on the bus, there's a lot live action people and pictures where they stop along the way.

Mango and Papaya are the bird and the monkey who meet up with the dragon who is the bus driver, voiced by Who singer Roger Daltry. On the bus is also the expected mom and baby, singing girl, an elephant, cow, a clown faced guy, families of different ethnicities, a big chicken as big as the construction guy, an even bigger dog and many other characters.

As Mango and Papaya try to find their way home, they visit a shark at the Aquarium of the Pacific, a farm, the zoo and a party where a guy does tricks on stilts. Thankfully, the words of all the songs are on the inside of the video, and many of the new songs are catchy and fun to dance to at home.

For ages 1 and up, it's quite appropriate for all ages, and extremely captivating and delightful. From live jellyfish, puppies and pigs, the bus ride is a lot of fun, and there's a perfect parent switch that allows the half-hour video to play over and over again, how nice!

The little girl in the video talks about how she did some of the special effects in the making-of video and how they did the bus with a blue screen in the back. Janie Laurel Escalle is the girl who says this is the first acting job she's ever done and she talks about going to the audition at director Timothy Armstrong's house and how the video was made.

This is a 2004 Parents Choice winner by the guy who won more than 30 awards for children's videos, including "The Dog Who Dared" and "The Cat Who Drank too Much."

A catchy family video, this gives you a chance to sing with the kids with a lyric book and it gives you a chance to talk about things to the kids, too, as many different animals are shown throughout the video. Both educational and fun, this is one bus you won't want to miss.
